The London Marathon 2022

In covid-hit year of 2021 the format of the marathon was changed to a virtual one and was held in the month of October instead of in Spring. For 2022, the cautious organisers scheduled it for October again. So this year the London Marathon will be held on 2nd October. 

Founded by two athletes in 1981, this mega event now includes performances, celebrations, parades in London streets and more. The organisers have maintained the same route for running since the first marathon in 1981. So participating in this marathon is a legendary achievement.

Virtual London Marathon

Did you just realise you will not be in London for the London Marathon? Don’t worry. You can participate in the marathon virtually. All you have to do is register and you can run from where you and at your own pace, you will have 24 hours to complete your virtual marathon. The participation fees differ for Londoners and outsiders.  

Hackney Half Marathon

This is one of the fastest growing half marathons in London. It takes place in the heart of east London – Hackney.
